What is included
Assessment of damage that may have arisen during transport: packaging, impact marks, dents, chips, cracks, deformation and the product's condition at receipt.
The examination uses the product, photographs, video, packaging, labeling, components, purchase documents, contract, technical specifications, specifications, product listing, formal claim, seller's response or service center's report.
What is checked
- presence and nature of a shortcoming;
- location and description of the defect;
- probable cause;
- traces of delivery, impact, dropping, opening, repair, use or installation;
- completeness, packaging, tags, seals and labeling;
- conformity to the contract, description, technical specifications, specifications and product listing;
- whether an additional specialist in a relevant field or laboratory examination is needed.
What to provide
- the product and packaging in their current condition;
- photos and video of the defect;
- receipt, order, contract and delivery note;
- product description, listing, specifications or technical specifications;
- instructions, warranty card and product data sheet;
- correspondence, formal claim, seller's response or service report;
- if supplied as a batch, batch documents and a selection of objects.
Pricing
from RUB 25,000. The final fee depends on product type, number of objects, defect complexity, need for an on-site visit, document volume, number of questions and final document format.
What packaging and unpacking reveal
When analyzing transport damage, record the defect and its position relative to the packaging. Overall views of the closed container, shipping marks, internal padding and the product's position after opening are useful. An isolated close-up of a chip does not show how the product sat inside the box or which areas could have contacted it.
An unpacking video is assessed for continuity and coverage. If recording began after some packaging was removed or the product leaves the frame, this is considered when assessing the information available. The existence of a video alone does not establish every handover stage or subsequent handling of the product.
For comparing materials
- Link container and product images to the same model, order and individual item.
- Mark where dents, tears, soiling or signs of wetting were found.
- Preserve information about movement, assembly and use after unpacking.
- Attach the handover record with the comments actually entered in it.
Box damage and a product defect may be connected, but that connection requires assessment of the location and nature of the traces. An undamaged outer packaging layer does not describe every possible impact on its contents either.
It is best to split the examination question: which damage is established, which mechanism it is consistent with and whether sufficient data link it to transport. This provides a technical answer even where the delivery history is incomplete, without filling missing stages with assumptions.
